Jendayi Saada grew up in Detroit, MI, and is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. She is a former elected official and activist in the Art Center Citizen’s District of Detroit.
Jendayi began her legal career at a top civil rights firm, focusing solely on employment cases. She later became a solo practitioner and in-house counsel for four years before moving to Miami, FL, in 2004, where she transitioned into legal education.
She spent over 18 years in legal education, most recently serving as the Associate Dean of Student and Faculty Development at the University of La Verne College of Law. While at ULV-COL, Jendayi taught several skills courses, Property Law, and co-taught Constitutional and Contracts Law.
In March 2023, Jendayi returned to legal practice and has since combined her extensive knowledge of employment law with her experience in legal education. She is now one of BHL's lead employment of employment cases, including 35 matters involving FEHA claims of race, gender, age, and disability discrimination and harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and whistleblower claims under the CA Labor Code. She has successfully represented clients at mediations and negotiated multiple employers, and government agencies.
