Jose Zamora is a dedicated law clerk and emerging legal professional whose journey from an immigrant upbringing in the Inland Empire to law school has shaped his commitment to public service, community empowerment, and culturally informed advocacy. These formative experiences instilled in him a deep appreciation for community support, mentorship, and the transformative power of education.

A proud first-generation college graduate, Jose earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Law from the University of California, San Diego, where he also completed minors in Sociology, Accounting & Finance, and Constitutional Law.

Jose is currently a J.D. candidate at the University of La Verne College of Law and Public Service. His legal interests, labor and employment law, immigration law, and business law reflect both his academic background and his firsthand understanding of the legal barriers facing underserved communities in the Inland Empire.

Professionally, Jose serves as a law clerk at Hawkins Legal, P.C., where he supports litigation and transactional matters across public sector labor and employment law, business transactions, and governance. His work includes conducting complex legal research using Westlaw and LexisNexis, drafting motions, memoranda, pleadings, and contract provisions, assisting with trial preparation, and supporting collective bargaining and settlement negotiations. He also manages case files, tracks deadlines, and coordinates workstreams essential to effective litigation and client representation.

Beyond his professional and academic endeavors, Jose remains deeply committed to community advocacy, mentorship, and grassroots organizing. He has dedicated significant time to mentoring young students, organizing know-your-rights workshops, and promoting pathways for Hispanic and first-generation students to pursue higher education and careers in law. This dedication reflects the values championed by the Hispanic Bar Association of the Inland Empire engagement, education, recruitment, culture, and mentorship principles Jose not only believes in but actively embodies.

With a strong foundation in legal research, public service, and community-centered advocacy, Jose Zamora is pursuing a legal career defined by service, integrity, and a commitment to uplifting the communities that shaped him.
